Detoxification is a 24/7 365 day job for your body. The liver is especially important in helping to clear your body of the many toxins it faces on a daily basis. But, did you know that there is another step that is vitally important to ensure that your body can properly do its job to keep your body “clean”? 💦

The first step in detoxification is actually to make sure you are eliminating regularly and effectively (this means pooping and peeing daily…at least 2 poops a day!). 💩 If these things are not happening, toxins can build up in your system and cause numerous symptoms…anything from headaches, to fatigue, to nausea, to acne, to hormonal imbalances, to gut issues, and on and on…ultimately causes illness and disease. 🤢

Here are some tips to help you ensure your elimination is operating at its peak each day:
• Stay hydrated
• Eat plenty of fiber in your diet
• Get regular movement each day
• Consider using bitters or tudca to stimulate bile production
• Use herbs that help the intestines to move such as ginger or aloe
• If you are having trouble, consider using a castor oil pack or coffee enema
• Take a non-constipating binder to help make sure any toxins are bound up and eliminated

We all have a certain capacity (stress bucket) to handle all of the various stressors that are constantly impacting our bodies. We accumulate stressors drop by drop 💧💧💧, continually filling that bucket. We can suffer due to many small stressors adding up or even one big major stressor (or anything in between). Many think of stress as only mental or emotional stress, but stress comes in numerous forms.

Here are a few examples:
• Chronic mental/emotional stress
• Infections
• Heavy metals
• Mold
• Over/under exercise
• Chemical exposures
• Food sensitivities
• Poor sleep

Our body continually works to remove these stressors (and their impacts) through our different detox pathways.
